London minicab caught on the wrong side of the road just feet away from large directional signs

A private hire driver was stopped by officers in East London after he was seen driving along the wrong side of the road.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police East Roads Policing Team were able to intercept the car before any collision with other vehicles took place.

The silver Toyota Prius can be seen stopped by officers facing the wrong way, on a dual-lane road, just feet away from two large road markings directing the traffic flow in the opposite direction.

Neal Donohoe from the East Roads Policing Team confirmed that a paying passenger was also on board the private hire vehicle at the time of the offence.
