A rickshaw clampdown in London has continued with at least another TEN vehicles seized by police officers.
The Metropolitan Police Charlton Vehicle Enforcement Team MSC were assisted by their Fleet Services Technicians in the operation on Friday night.
The technicians were able to test the batteries' voltage and wattage and, according to police sources, “provided crucial evidence securing the seizure of the rickshaws”.
In a photo published by the police on social media at least ten red rickshaws were shown to have been seized.
This latest action comes after a further eight rickshaws were seized by police officers in similar operations in London last week. The vehicles were seized for drivers having no insurance and not driving the vehicles in accordance with the driving licence.
Five of the rickshaws seized last week were caught outside Buckingham Palace.
