Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in collision with taxi near Castle Howard
A motorcyclist in his 50s was airlifted to hospital after a serious collision involving a taxi on the approach to the Castle Howard roundabout in Ryedale.
The crash happened at around 3.30pm on Saturday, 26 September, on The Stay at Coneysthorpe.
North Yorkshire Police said the rider, from North Lincolnshire, was travelling south on a white Yamaha with another motorcyclist when it collided with a red Toyota Auris taxi heading north.
The road remained closed until shortly before 8pm while officers carried out a full collision examination and arranged for the vehicles to be recovered safely.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, anyone who saw either vehicle before the collision and motorists with relevant dashcam footage.
