Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted while entering a taxi in Carlton Hill.
The incident happened at around 9.20pm on Easter Sunday, shortly after the woman, in her 50s, left a pub in the area. She sustained serious facial injuries believed to have been caused by a glass and was later treated in hospital.
Detectives are now working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the assault. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 621 of 20 April 2025.
Detective Constable Gemma Piggott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a very serious assault that left a woman with significant injuries to her face.
"We have already analysed a large amount of CCTV footage and have spoken to multiple witnesses, but are now making a public appeal for others to come forward.
"We are particularly keen to hear from any drivers who my have passed a blue taxi as it picked up passengers near to the junctions with First and Second avenue."
