‘ONE OF THE WORST TYRES’ EVER SEEN: Police share photos of van tyre travelling on M5

Photos of ‘one of the worst tyres’ ever seen by officers were shared on social media much to the shock of onlookers.

The horrific tyre showing no tread and wear through multiple layers of cord was found on a Ford Transit van travelling on the M5 in the south-west Cullompton area.

According to police sources the driver of the vehicle has now been reported to court.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team said via social media: “This is one of the worst tyres I have ever seen!! This was on a Ford Transit that was stopped on the M5 Cullompton and prohibited!

“Unsurprisingly the driver has been reported to court!”
