Northamptonshire Police are seeking help from the public to identify a man who may have information relating to the theft of luggage from an elderly victim.

In the early hours of Friday 4 October, the vulnerable man, who uses an assisted walker, had just left Northampton train station. After being unable to board a bus, he made his way to the taxi rank on Bradshaw Street. It was there that two men approached, offering to help with his luggage.

While assisting the victim by carrying his bags to the back of a taxi, one of the men walked away with one of the bags, leaving the elderly man without his belongings or the means to pay for his taxi fare.

Police believe the individual in the released image could have vital information about the incident. Officers are urging anyone who recognises him or has information to contact them.

If you have any details, call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 24000593910. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
