Police appeal for witnesses after serious collision involving taxi and pedestrian in Thatcham

Thames Valley Police is seeking witnesses to a significant collision involving and taxi and pedestrian in Thatcham.
The incident occurred around 9.33am on Tuesday 25 June on Thatcham High Street. A black Ford Tourneo taxi collided with a pedestrian using a walking frame.
The victim, a woman in her late 70s, suffered a serious head injury and a brain haemorrhage.
She is currently receiving treatment at John Radcliffe Hospital, where she remains.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has information to come forward.
Investigating officer Police Constable Jamie Payne, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in our investigation after a woman sustained a very serious head injury.
“We would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or may have dash-cam footage to please come forward.
