Cumbria Police are calling on taxi drivers in the Windermere area to assist in the search for a missing man who is believed to have travelled to the region from Manchester.
Paul Pennington, 58, was last seen near Manchester Royal Infirmary on 30 April. It is believed he later travelled to Cumbria, with a confirmed sighting at Windermere Train Station at around 9.50pm the same day.
Officers are especially appealing to taxi drivers who may have picked up a passenger matching Paul’s description that evening. It is thought he may have entered a dark-coloured taxi, possibly a Ford Estate, from the station.
Paul is described as of medium height and build. Police from both Cumbria and Greater Manchester remain concerned for his welfare.
Anyone who may have seen Paul, or has dashcam footage or information about a relevant taxi booking on the evening of 30 April, is urged to come forward. Information can be submitted online via www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit or by calling 101.
