Police investigate alleged racial attack on York taxi driver

North Yorkshire Police are investigating an incident in York city centre after a taxi was damaged and its driver subjected to alleged racial abuse.
The incident happened last Saturday, 6 September, between 9.30pm and 9.40pm on Lendal outside Tomahawk restaurant.
According to police, a male suspect punched a black Toyota Prius taxi and then proceeded to racially abuse the driver.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward as part of their ongoing investigation.
