Police investigate attempted GBH after taxi driver attacked at Carlisle station rank

A taxi driver was assaulted by two people during a late-night incident near Carlisle Train Station.

Cumbria Police said the attack happened at the taxi rank on Court Square Brow at around 11.30pm on 16 August.

Officers are treating the incident as attempted grievous bodily harm. No further details have been released about the driver’s condition or the identities of those involved.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
