Police investigate suspected arson of ‘taxi’ in Watford

Police are calling for witnesses after a suspected arson attack in Watford left three vehicles damaged.


Officers responded to reports of a fire on Kensington Avenue at 1.55am on Friday, 14 February. According to local news source the Watford Observer, a white Audi ‘taxi’ had been set alight, with the flames quickly spreading to two other parked cars.

Emergency services attended the scene, and an investigation is now underway. Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.


Information can be reported directly to police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Detective Constable Julie Vint from the Watford Local Crime Unit said: “Our enquiries are continuing and I am asking for anyone with information to please come forward.


“Did you see what happened or witness anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time? Please email me with any information.“
