Police from Andover have put out a cheeky appeal to find a taxi passenger who left a bag containing a stash of cannabis in the back of a cab.

Included in the small back bag which was found by a cabbie and handed in to Test Valley Police, was a grinder, a packet of filter tips, two packets of rolling papers and some Vaseline.

Officers have asked the owner of the bag to ‘pop in to claim it’ and jokingly suggest that they may wish to bring an overnight bag.

A spokesperson from Test Valley Police said via social media: “Imagine, you get a taxi across Andover, you’re in a hurry and you remember you left your belongings on the back seat, just as the cab drives off!

“Argh. The frustration!

“Don’t worry though, we have it at the nick. Just pop in to claim it. Bring ID… and maybe an overnight bag”
