Northamptonshire Police are appealing for help to identify three men who may hold vital information after a taxi driver was threatened during the early hours in Corby.
The incident took place between 2am and 2.30am on Sunday 30 March. A taxi driver picked up passengers who asked to be taken to the BP Garage on Cottingham Road.
When they arrived, the passengers exited the vehicle and went to the garage’s night-time service window to purchase drinks. However, they also took items from outside the garage, including firewood, anti-freeze and coal.
When challenged by the driver, one of the men produced a small bladed item and threatened him. The driver continued to transport them towards Cottingham, where the men left the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police believe the men captured in CCTV images may have information that could help the investigation. Officers are asking the men to come forward or for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 25000185815. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
