Police seek taxi drivers who helped woman in distress near Edinburgh Zoo

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following reports of a woman in distress in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh, with officers keen to trace taxi drivers who stopped to help.
The incident is believed to have taken place between Monday 25 May and Wednesday 27 May 2026 on Corstorphine Road, near Edinburgh Zoo. According to Police Scotland, a woman was seen running into the roadway during the period.
Members of the public reportedly stopped to assist the woman. Investigators are now seeking to identify and speak with those witnesses as part of ongoing enquiries.
Police have made a specific appeal to taxi drivers who helped at the scene, believing they may hold information that could assist officers in establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
