Police seek witnesses after man demands money from taxi driver in Corby



Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Harrogate Court, Corby on local taxi driver..


The incident occurred between 4:30am and 4:40am on Thursday 15 August, when a taxi driver was confronted by a man who demanded money.

The suspect repeatedly struck the driver’s side window and tried to open the door.


Thankfully, the taxi driver had secured his vehicle and was able to drive away, with the offender fleeing towards Gainsborough Road.


The suspect is described as a white male, aged between 20 and 25, approximately 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and fair hair. He was wearing light-coloured clothing at the time of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the event or has relevant information is urged to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 24000487781. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
