Police seeking man PUNCHING taxi windscreen causing damage

Swindon Police officers have issued an appeal for witnesses after a report of criminal damage on a taxi vehicle.


The incident occurred on Albion Street in the late evening of Friday 12 January, between 10.45 pm and 11pm.

According to the police spokesperson, the incident unfolded shortly after a taxi driver dropped off a couple near the rear of Albion Street, close to Joseph Street.


Following their departure from the vehicle, a man reportedly began damaging the taxi by punching the windscreen, causing significant damage.

This incident has prompted the police to reach out to the public for assistance. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the event or has any information that could aid their investigation to come forward.
