Police shared an image of the vehicle parked near Stoke City Football Club’s stadium following the stop.

The incident serves as a reminder for drivers, especially those operating under a private hire licence, to ensure all safety-critical components of their vehicle are functioning correctly before taking to the road.

A Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team spokesperson said: ”This Toyota was stopped in the Stoke area as the brake lights were not working. The driver has been reported and the vehicle has been prohibited.”
