Private hire giants Veezu boost Rotherham Titans Summer Camp with £1,000 donation

Veezu has made a generous contribution to the Rotherham Titans Community Foundation with a £1,000 donation, supporting the foundation’s summer camp initiative.

This effort is part of the government-backed Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, aimed at aiding children and families during the school holidays.

The HAF programme, which is linked to the Government’s free school meals scheme, ensures that any child who receives these meals is entitled to a free place at the camp. However, the programme often leaves out families who do not qualify for free school meals but still find it difficult to afford holiday activities. Veezu’s donation has helped bridge this gap by funding additional free places at the High Greave summer camp, allowing more children to benefit from the programme.

The response has been huge, with the summer camp now fully booked. The extra funds have enabled the Rotherham Titans Community Foundation to hire more staff, ensuring that all interested children have the chance to participate in this enriching experience.

Alongside the financial support, Veezu has also provided each child with a branded water bottle and lunch bag. These items serve as practical tools for the camp and as mementos of their time with the Rotherham Titans.
