RMA Worldwide acquires US division of Addison Lee

RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation announced this week the acquisition of Addison Lee US, the North American division of United Kingdom-based Addison Lee Group.

The purchase, which closed last month on 19 February, now makes RMA Worldwide one of America’s largest private hire companies. The business will operate under the RMA Worldwide brand and will provide services from Boston to Richmond, and west to Los Angeles, and all major cities in between.

As part of the acquisition, RMA Worldwide and Addison Lee Group have agreed to a long-term strategic partnership. Both companies believe this partnership will allow them to better serve their clients on a worldwide scale.

Robert M. Alexander, CEO of RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, said: “We are extremely excited to announce the acquisition of Addison Lee US.

”Providing our clients with exceptional customer service has always been our top priority. We look forward to bringing RMA’s commitment to excellence to all of Addison Lee’s clients and affiliates.”

Following the acquisition, RMA Worldwide will serve more than 25,000 clients and transport nearly 20,000,000 passengers each year. The privately held company will employ more than 1,000 people in the United States with annual revenues of more than $140 million, and will have offices in Boston, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Los Angeles.

In the UK, the Addison Lee Group confirmed last month that it will be entering into new long-term funding arrangements with a consortium of investors, led by Cheyne Capital and Liam Griffin, to support the future of its UK business.
