Source launches charging rewards scheme for fleet and private hire drivers
Source, the ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging network backed by SSE and TotalEnergies, has launched a rewards programme aimed at fleet and private hire drivers.
The Source Rewards scheme gives drivers two points for every kilowatt-hour charged at a Source hub. According to the company, drivers can earn roughly enough points for a £5 voucher after 15 charging sessions, depending on the amount of energy used.
Points can be exchanged for vouchers covering supermarkets, food, fashion and leisure. Participating brands include Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Costa Coffee and Uber.
The programme has been developed with PowerGoodies, a rewards platform that already operates schemes with electric vehicle charging networks in Belgium and the Netherlands. It marks PowerGoodies’ first UK partnership.
Fleets can connect their existing charging card to the free PowerGoodies app. Supported options include a SourceConnect RFID card, fleet card or roaming partner card. Once linked, points are accumulated automatically without any change to the way drivers access Source chargers.

Source Rewards gives fleet and private hire drivers points on every charge, on top of the speed and reliability they already rely on - whether it’s vouchers for the weekly shop or a coffee on the way to the next job.”
Jan van Ottele, CEO of PowerGoodies, said the scheme was designed to make public charging more valuable for drivers.
“Drivers in the Netherlands and Belgium have shown us that a public charge feels different when it gives something back,” he said. “Source is building a fast, reliable network designed around the driver, and it’s the right partner to bring PowerGoodies to British roads. From today, every charge with Source counts for something beyond the miles.”
Source Rewards is available at every Source hub in the UK from launch. New hubs will be added automatically as they open, with the scheme available to both fleet and private hire drivers using the network.
Source operates ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK and Ireland, with 150kW chargers offered as standard. The company says most drivers can charge and leave in around 15 minutes, based on industry accepted charging session data. Its network is powered by renewable energy and operates against a 99% or higher uptime target, with continuous monitoring.
The company is working towards a target of 300 ultra-rapid hubs by 2030. For high-mileage operators, the rewards scheme adds a potential recurring benefit to the operating advantages of faster charging, route-aligned locations and driver support.
