Southampton e-scooter rider injures ankle after collision with taxi

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is seeking to identify witnesses to a collision involving a taxi and an e-scooter in Southampton.
The incident, which occurred between 11am and 11.30am on Friday 14 June, involved a silver taxi and a Voi e-scooter. It took place at the roundabout between Queensway and Palmerston Road.
The taxi driver failed to remain at the scene, leaving the e-scooter rider, a 36-year-old Southampton man, with a serious ankle injury. Authorities are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the collision or who can help identify the taxi involved.
The police are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with dashcam footage that may be relevant to the incident.
