Southampton taxi driver reported after stopping next to police car to take pictures of crashed car
A taxi driver in Southampton who decided to take a picture of a crash scene while officers were present has been reported.
According to a spokesperson from the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit, police at the scene were busy taking care of the collision in West End of Southampton, when the taxi driver unexpectedly stopped his car in front of the marked police vehicle and took a photo on his mobile phone.
The police were surprised by the behaviour and reported the cabbie.
A Hampshire Roads Policing Unit spokesperson said: “Whilst dealing with a crash in West End Southampton, a Taxi Driver decided to stop in front of our marked POLICE vehicle to take a picture on his mobile phone.
“Driver has been sent on his way with paperwork.”
