A taxi driver was subjected to an indecent exposure incident while waiting for a fare in Newbury during the early hours of Saturday morning, according to Thames Valley Police.
Police said the incident occurred at approximately 12.15am on 21 February 2026 while the driver was parked outside the library in Newbury town centre. The victim, who was working at the time, reported hearing a knock on the driver’s side front window.
Believing the individual may have been seeking a journey, the driver lowered his window to speak to the man. Officers said that once the window was lowered, the suspect turned around, pulled down his trousers and exposed his buttocks and genitals.
The man, described as a white male aged between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5ft 6in in height and of medium build, remained at the vehicle for around a minute. During the incident, he is reported to have struck the driver’s door with his buttocks before running away from the scene.
