TAXI-JACKING: Teenagers arrested following attempted carjacking in Smethwick on taxi driver

West Midlands Police have arrested two teenagers after an attempted carjacking involving a taxi driver in Smethwick.
The incident occurred around 8pm on 16 January on West Park Road. A taxi driver was reportedly pushed, and his car keys were taken by the suspects. However, the pair failed to start the vehicle and fled the scene with the keys.
Officers responded promptly, arresting two teenagers aged 14 and 15 on suspicion of robbery. They have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
