Taxi Show 2025, held on 18–19 October at the Peristeri Exhibition Centre in Athens, closed with strong attendance and solidified its status as one of Europe’s biggest taxi industry events.
The exhibition brought together major global automotive manufacturers including Volkswagen, Skoda, Toyota, Hyundai, Tesla, and Ford. Each showcased their latest vehicle models and technologies, reflecting the growing move toward electrification and modern mobility within the taxi sector.
Greek taxi businesses featured prominently, with established operators such as G.P. Theodoropoulos, Taxi Tsarouhas, Taxi Chouvardas, Taxi Karalis, and VIP Taxi displaying fleets and services aligned with the industry’s evolving standards. Operators like Freenow and Lemon Taxi also took part, outlining the impact of digitalisation and innovation on passenger transport and fleet management.
Service providers Tolias Edition and Car Control, a vehicle inspection specialist trusted by Athens taxi professionals, presented solutions focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
A central theme of this year’s event was the centenary of taxi services in Greece. Special exhibitions and presentations highlighted the industry’s development from its origins to today’s technology-driven and sustainability-focused operations.
Visitor numbers were said to exceed expectations, with strong participation from industry professionals, public officials, and members of the public. Discussion panels and presentations explored the current challenges and opportunities facing the trade as it adapts to environmental and digital change.
Vasilis Siassos, Event Organiser, said: “Taxi Show is a reference point for the entire sector. Our goal is continuous recognition and meaningful promotion of taxi service, which is a pillar of urban transportation.”
