TaxiPoint launches new Intelligence tool for taxi and PHV decision makers with tariff benchmarking and driver confidence surveys planned

TaxiPoint has launched TaxiPoint Intelligence, a new online resource designed to support decision makers across the taxi and private hire industry.
The tool is aimed at licensing authorities, government departments, operators, policymakers and other industry stakeholders seeking to assess trends and compare data across the sector.
TaxiPoint said the platform builds on its coverage of the UK taxi and private hire trade, which includes industry news, data and analysis for drivers, operators, licensing authorities and policymakers. The publication has more than 200,000 regular returning readers and over 1 million unique readers each year and helped produce the first National Taxi and Private Hire Survey.
The first TaxiPoint Intelligence tool is now live and allows users to sort and compare the latest Department for Transport taxi and private hire statistics. The platform also includes league tables covering key industry measures.
The resource is intended to make sector data easier to access and use when assessing local and national trends. Authorities and other stakeholders can use the information to compare areas and support discussions around policy, licensing and operational performance.
TaxiPoint plans to expand the platform over the coming months with Hackney Carriage tariff data obtained directly from licensing authorities.
Once developed, the verified tool will allow authorities to compare tariffs with neighbouring areas and generate downloadable reports to support tariff reviews when required.
TaxiPoint is asking licensing authorities to provide a PDF or link to their current Hackney Carriage tariff card. The information will be used to help ensure future comparisons are based on current and verified data.
TaxiPoint will be in touch soon or licensing authorities can contact the publisher directly via contact@taxi-point.co.uk
The publication also plans to benchmark industry confidence through a series of driver surveys. Findings will be added to TaxiPoint Intelligence over time, with results expected to be available at local, regional and national levels.
TaxiPoint said the wider aim was to help decision makers assess what is working across the sector and identify areas requiring further attention.
The TaxiPoint Intelligence platform is available free at https://www.taxi-point.co.uk/intelligence .
