Uber’s latest tables show wide variation in cancellation fees depending on city and product.
On the standard UberX service, London sits at the top. Cancelling an UberX ride in the capital costs £4.90. That is above most English city regions where UberX sits between £3.50 and £4.00. Manchester, Merseyside, Cambridge and Brighton all show £3.75. The North East region comes in at £4.00.
At the other end of the scale, the lowest UberX cancellation fees appear in Belfast and Stoke, both at £3.50. Belfast also lists Comfort at £5.60 and Exec at £6.50. Stoke records UberXL at £5.25.
Scotland’s two biggest cities show a small split. Edinburgh posts £3.75 for UberX, with Comfort at £6.00 and Exec at £7.00. Glasgow’s UberX fee is £4.00, with Comfort at £6.00 and Exec at £7.00. Scotland therefore sits just below or level with many English regions outside London.
Wales, based on Cardiff’s table, places UberX at £3.75. Comfort is £6.40, Exec is £7.50 and UberXL is £7.00. That sets Wales alongside Edinburgh at the £3.75 mark for standard cancellations.
Premium products lift the ceiling in several cities, led by London. Lux cancellation in the capital reaches £11.75. Exec and Exec XXL in London are both £9.00. Outside the capital, some cities post notable highs on premium tiers, for example Oxford’s Exec at £9.25 and UberXL at £7.50.
Taking the UK as a whole on UberX, England ranges from £3.50 to £4.90, Scotland ranges from £3.75 to £4.00, and Wales lands at £3.75. Northern Ireland records £3.50 in Belfast. London pushes the national high, while many regional cities sit closer to the mid £3 range.
