Uber Reserve launched at Heathrow, Birmingham and Manchester airports
Uber has introduced Uber Reserve at London Heathrow, Birmingham and Manchester airports which will offer travellers the option of reserving an Uber up to 90 days in advance.
Uber Reserve comes as a strategic expansion of Uber's offerings since the introduction of reserve bookings on the app this spring. The product has been designed to cater to airport travellers, incorporating features such as live flight tracking within the Uber app. The feature allows for real-time adjustments of the driver's arrival time, ensuring a seamless pickup experience.
One of the features of Uber Reserve is the extension of driver wait times at airports to 60 minutes, offering riders peace of mind as they disembark from their flights and navigate through security checks. The popularity of the new offering among UK riders has seen a growth rate of 120% recorded from September 2022 to September 2023.
Uber‘s role in facilitating travel to and from airports, has seen a substantial 37% increase in trips to UK airports during the third quarter of this year compared to the same period last year.
Andrew Brem, General Manager at Uber UK, said: “We know that Uber Reserve is an incredibly popular and trustworthy feature for travellers looking to begin their journey and get to the airport on time. This new offering will help create that same seamless experience for travellers arriving back in the UK via Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham airports.”
