Updated: Jun 6
Uber is launching a unique 100mph mini-festival aboard a train bound for Castle Cary, aimed at festival-goers en route to Glastonbury.
The journey promises live performances by British jungle and drum and bass star Nia Archives, who will also be performing at the festival.
To secure a seat on the ride, passengers must register at splityouruberridewithnia.com. The train will be transformed into a dynamic concert venue, featuring custom festival lighting and sound system, creating a unique atmosphere from London Paddington to Castle Cary.
On the day, passengers will get a special area at Paddington Station, secure luggage storage, and refreshments from Uber Eats before boarding the specially adorned train carriage.
Nia Archives said: “Buzzin’ to be heading back to ma fave place on earth, Glastonbury!! Never thought I’d be DJing in a train, but am sooo excited to start the party with ravers on the Uber train.”
Andrew Brem, General Manager at Uber UK, said: “We’re thrilled to be adding some magic to peoples’ journeys to Castle Cary giving them a brilliant kick-start to the UK’s festival-lined summer. With trains on Uber, it’s easier than ever to book your door-to-door travel all in one app.”
