URGENT police appeal to London’s black cab drivers: Lost urn containing child's ashes

The City of London Police have issued an urgent appeal to all black cab drivers following a heart-wrenching incident.


According to a spokesperson from City of London Police, a man has left behind an urn containing his child's ashes in a black Adidas bag inside a cab. The incident occurred during a journey from Fenchurch Street to Smithfield Meat Market at 6:30 am.

The police and industry workers are urging all black cab drivers who may have found the urn or the black Adidas bag to come forward with any information they may have.

A City of London Police spokesperson said via social media: “This is an urgent appeal to all black cab drivers.


“A man has left an urn containing his child’s ashes in a black Adidas bag in a cab he took from Fenchurch Street to Smithfield Meat Market at 6.30am.”
