Wanted man caught exiting Essex cab with large amount of drugs cash and a weapon

Officers for Essex Police were on patrol in the Greenstead area of Colchester when a wanted male made the rather poor decision to get out of a taxi in front of several marked Police cars, a spokesperson for the force said.

Upon noticing the police cars, the male uttered some choice expletives before running off from Police... further drawing attention to himself.

After a short foot chase the male was caught and found to be in possession of a large amount of what is believed to be Class A and B drugs, prescription medication, a large amount of cash and a metal knuckleduster.

The male was arrested and taken to Colchester Police Station where he was interviewed and released on bail.
