Warwickshire Police seek witnesses following incident involving teen cyclists and taxi

Warwickshire Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident involving teen cyclists and a taxi.

The incident occurred on the night of 29 December 2023 in Nuneaton. At approximately 11:45 pm, two teenage boys cycling along Coventry Road were reportedly pursued into the Premier Inn car park by a vehicle described as a blue ‘taxi’.

The car, believed to be a Toyota model, allegedly struck one of the boys, resulting in injuries. The nature and extent of these injuries have not been specified, but the incident has prompted a thorough investigation by local authorities.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: “If you were in the area at this time and saw anything that might help us with our investigations, or if you have any CCTV or dashcam footage, get in contact with us citing Incident 322 of 29 December.”
