West Midlands Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery that took place in the city.

The incident occurred on 13 November when a woman was robbed shortly after midnight in Hill Street.

According to a West Midlands Police spokesperson, the victim had just exited a taxi when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. The suspect swiftly grabbed her bag, which contained a significant amount of cash, and fled the scene before the victim could react.

Authorities have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to talk to regarding the incident and have asked the public to get in touch with authorities should they recognise him.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Recognise this man? We're looking to speak to him after a woman was robbed in Birmingham.

“Shortly after midnight on 13 November, the woman was getting out of a taxi in Hill Street.

“As she got out of the taxi she was approached from behind and her bag, containing cash, was stolen.
