Wolverhampton Council reveals average wait time taken for private hire drivers to be licensed with the authority



New figures from the City of Wolverhampton Council revealed the average number of days to issue a private hire driver licence over the past year.

 

Wolverhampton’s private hire licensing practices have come under scrutiny due to the unusually high number of licences it issues to drivers operating outside its area. The council has become a hub for private hire licensing, attracting applicants from across the UK due to its remote application process and relatively streamlined procedures.
