A woman is assisting police with their enquiries following an alleged racially aggravated assault and criminal damage incident involving a taxi driver in Bournemouth.
The incident occurred at approximately 11.05pm on Sunday 24 August 2025, when two women were reportedly travelling in a taxi near Exeter Road. During the journey, it is alleged the women became racially abusive towards the driver.
Further allegations suggest the driver was assaulted by being grabbed, scratched and hit while operating the vehicle. Damage was also caused to the taxi during the reported incident.
Following an image appeal issued by Dorset Police, one woman has now come forward and is cooperating with officers as part of the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this stage.
Police continue to appeal for information in connection with the case.
