Woman punched in the face & left with serious facial injury during taxi rank altercation in Airdrie
Lanarkshire Police have launched an appeal following a serious assault at a taxi rank in Airdrie town centre.
Officers are appealing for information after a woman was seriously assaulted on Saturday, 10 July.
The incident happened at around 10.45pm at the taxi rank on Stirling Street. A 46-year-old woman was punched and sustained a serious facial injury. She was taken to University Hospital Monklands for treatment.
Detective Constable David Williamson said: “This was a serious assault and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, particularly if they were in the taxi queue or walking past at the time.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation.
