Stoke cabbie jailed for kissing and groping passenger

A cab driver has been jailed after being convicted of sexually assaulting a female passenger.
Tawab Khan, a 48 year old father of nine attacked the woman after agreeing to take her home for a reduced price, after a night out in Hanley.
The victim had initially sat in the back of the vehicle, but the cabbie asked her to come and sit in the front.
After complying, the cabbie then started kissing and fondling the young girl, before pleading with the driver to stop the car and let her out.
Khan, of Newshaw Walk, Hanley was convicted of assault by penetration and two charges of sexual assault following a trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and jailed for seven years.
In a victim statement the woman says she has suffered panic attacks and flashbacks and now barely goes out because of the attack.
