Bradford taxi crash victim named as police continue appeal

Police have named the 71-year-old woman who died following a road traffic collision involving a taxi in Bradford on Saturday 11 April.
Delia Sheridan died after the grey Toyota Prius taxi she was travelling in collided with a tree on Thornton Road at around 10.17am, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The 72-year-old male driver of the taxi was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
In a statement released through police, Sheridan’s family described her as “a much-loved sister and aunt, taken away too soon,” adding that “she will be sadly missed by the family”.

Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are continuing to investigate the incident and have renewed their appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
