Fare101 taxi and private hire driver job-assessment app planned for November launch

A new mobile application designed to help private hire, ride-hailing and Hackney carriage drivers assess potential jobs is being prepared for launch in November 2026.
Fare101 is being developed as a driver decision-support tool, allowing users to review information such as fare value, journey distance and estimated travel time before deciding whether a trip suits their working strategy.
The app is intended for drivers using services including Uber, Bolt, Freenow by Lyft and other operators. Drivers can often have only a few seconds to review a trip request, with the available information potentially affecting whether the work fits their targets and operating costs.
Fare101 is expected to allow drivers to assess jobs according to their own priorities. These could include earnings per mile, journey time, pickup distance or the type of work being offered.
The application will not make acceptance or rejection decisions on behalf of drivers. Instead, it is designed to present additional information and leave the final decision with the individual driver.
Fare101 founder Thomas De Freitas said: “Drivers can sometimes have only a few seconds to look at a job and decide whether it works for them. Fare101 is being developed to make the important information easier to understand so the driver can make their own decision based on their own preferences.”
He added: “The idea is not to tell a driver whether they should accept or reject a trip. Different drivers have different costs, targets and ways of working. We want Fare101 to give them useful information and leave the final decision with the driver.”
The app remains under development, with further information about its final feature set and availability expected closer to the planned November 2026 release. A pre-launch waiting list has been opened for drivers who want to receive updates.
Drivers can register for updates and find further information at join.fare101.com.
