London taxi drivers set to benefit from CityFleet Networks and Assured free vehicle sanitising event

Up to 10,000 London taxi drivers are set to benefit from a one-off vehicle sanitising event next week as many cabbies start to return to work for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown.

CityFleet Networks, which includes transport firms ComCab and Comfort Executive, have partnered with the Assured Group to offer around 10,000 Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association (LTDA) members the opportunity to have their cabs deeply cleaned.

Drivers are being urged to attend the two day joint sessions with Assured Group to receive a free decontamination and sanitisation of their taxi set beginning on Monday 15 June. The two sessions will be held on:

Monday 15 June (9am-4pm) at The Printworks, Surrey Quay Road, Rotherhithe SE16 7PJ

Tuesday 16 June (9am-4pm) at The 02 Arena Taxi Rank, North Greenwich Station, SE10 0PH

CityFleet Networks have invested in the new cleaning equipment to ensure the deep cleaning of all their vehicles. The professional equipment is recommended and used by the NHS and kills 99.9% of bacterias, fungal and viruses almost instantly. The ultrafine mist deployed uses mild disinfectant potency to reach all corners of the vehicle without needless soaking.

After the event the equipment will remain free of charge to use for the entire CityFleet Networks group and will be placed at their Head Office for drivers to use.

Natasha Nicolaou Marketing Manager at CityFleet said: "Safety is our priority and we want to ensure that our drivers and passengers are still able to travel to any destination that is required."
