Man convicted of taxi touting in London after accepting a booking from plain clothes officers
A man has been successfully convicted of illegally touting for taxi work in London.
Yahya Mohamed was caught committing the offence in March, when he accepted a fare from plain clothes officers in the capital.
Mohamed faced charges at Westminster Magistrates' Court of illegal touting, no insurance and accepting a booking.
He was convicted of all three offences and punished by way of a £568 fine and costs, along with being handed a three month disqualification from driving.
