Police appeal after taxi driver seriously injured in Lewes assault

Police have launched an appeal to identify a man following a serious assault on a taxi driver in Lewes.
The incident happened just after midnight on 16 August, leaving the victim, a man in his fifties, with serious injuries that required hospital treatment. Officers from Eastbourne Police say they want to speak with the man pictured in connection with the investigation.
Despite ongoing enquiries, police have so far been unable to trace him. They are now asking for the public’s help to identify the man and assist with their investigation.
