Police appeal after taxi window smashed with beer bottle in Nottingham city centre

Police have issued a public appeal after a taxi window was smashed with a beer bottle in Nottingham city centre.
The incident happened outside the KFC restaurant in Milton Street at around 3.15am on 18 April 2026, according to investigators.
Officers said they have been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out further enquiries following the damage to the taxi. Police are now seeking help to identify a man they believe may have important information about the incident.
A CCTV image of the man has been released as part of the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting occurrence number 26000232519. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

PC Robin Gurney, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Thankfully the taxi driver wasn't injured but this incident left him unable to work for a few days, as well as incurring a large cost for repairs.
“We would ask anyone that recognises the person in this photo to please get in touch with us.
“We believe that they could have information that can assist us with our investigation, so we are very keen to speak to him.”
