Police appeal for witnesses after injured man dragged along the road by Newmarket taxi

Suffolk Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident in Newmarket where a man sustained injuries after being dragged along the road by a taxi.

This incident occurred between 11pm and midnight on 15 December 2023.

The victim was reportedly leaning into the taxi to speak to the driver at one of the High Street taxi ranks when the driver suddenly drove off. As a result, the man suffered injuries to his leg and arm.

The police are urgently seeking information from anyone who might have witnessed the event or has any details that could aid in their investigation.
