Avon and Somerset Police have launched a public appeal for information following an assault on a passenger inside a taxi in Bath.
The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Saturday 17 January on Dorchester Street, close to Bath city centre. A man in his thirties was attacked by a group of youths while he was inside the vehicle.
The victim suffered facial injuries, which police said were not deemed to be serious and did not require hospital treatment. However, officers confirmed he was left distressed by the incident and has been offered access to support services.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, the suspects are described as a group of young people, made up of both boys and girls. No arrests have been made at this stage.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from immediately before or after the incident, is being urged to come forward.
