Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision between a motorbike and a cab in Derby during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Derbyshire Constabulary were called shortly after 3.45am on 12 October to reports of a crash involving a black and red Lexmoto motorcycle and a white Toyota Prius taxi or private hire vehicle on Ashbourne Road, near the Brick Street junction with Friar Gate.
It is understood the motorbike was travelling from the Markeaton direction into the city shortly before the collision.
The rider, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains under treatment.
The road was closed for several hours to allow for investigation and vehicle recovery, reopening later the same afternoon.
Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage showing the collision or events leading up to it, to come forward.
Information can be reported to Derbyshire Constabulary using reference 25*598972.
