Police seek witnesses after violent attack on taxi driver in York city centre

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent altercation involving a taxi in York city centre.


The incident occurred in the early hours of 28 July 2024 on Piccadilly, where four men were involved in an assault on a taxi driver, which also resulted in damage to the vehicle.

The police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe could hold valuable information related to the incident.


They are urging anyone who recognises these individuals or has relevant details to come forward.
