Sherbet London has announced it will host its first open day for Knowledge students in partnership with the Licensed Taxi Drivers’ Association (LTDA) at its new West London taxi centre later this month.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday 29 April between 3pm and 7pm at the company’s TW8 site, with the operator inviting all Knowledge students to attend. According to Sherbet London, attendees will be able to test drive a TXE electric taxi, meet the firm’s team and speak directly with working drivers about entering the trade.
The initiative forms part of Sherbet’s efforts to position itself as a support provider for newly qualified drivers, particularly those transitioning into electric vehicles. In promotional material, the company said it aims to help drivers “transition into the world of earning with full infrastructure and support”, including induction programmes covering electric TXE vehicles and wheelchair accessibility training.
Sherbet London also highlighted operational incentives aimed at new entrants, including access to spare vehicles, round-the-clock support and opportunities to increase income through its ride app and airport work. The company stated drivers could begin earning immediately after completing the onboarding process.

The collaboration with the LTDA signals a coordinated approach to engaging new drivers at the point of qualification, as the industry continues to manage recruitment challenges and adapt to zero-emission requirements.
No further details have been provided on expected attendance or whether additional open days will follow at other locations.
