Through this new agreement, Taxi Göteborg drivers will access additional business opportunities while Uber users benefit from a larger pool of available vehicles.

The partnership is intended to improve efficiency in the city’s transport network, making better use of existing resources. It aims to simplify how residents and visitors can book taxis, enhancing overall service accessibility.

The initiative also introduces a dedicated Taxi Göteborg option within the Uber app, allowing customers to specifically select a Taxi Göteborg vehicle when booking. The integration is expected to launch in the coming weeks, providing passengers with greater choice and convenience.

Peter Löfstrand, Uber's Nordic Manager, said the collaboration will address rising travel demands in Gothenburg with a flexible approach, while Magnus Klintbäck, CEO of Taxi Göteborg, highlighted the benefits of shorter waiting times and a reliable service for customers in the city.

Both leaders pointed to increased efficiency and a positive impact on local mobility as key outcomes of the partnership.
