Two men, both in their late teens, were pronounced dead, one at the scene and the other later in hospital.

A third teenage passenger remains in hospital in a serious condition. All three were travelling as passengers in the Tesla, which was operating as a taxi at the time of the incident.

The driver, a 30 year old man from Oxted, was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the vehicle shortly beforehand, to come forward. Officers are also seeking CCTV, dashcam or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of the incident.
